Under 9's

Wombwell Warriors under 9's currently play in the Millenium League . Last years league winners are on track for a repeat performance .They play their home games on the Lundhill playing fields .

A 5 0 victory over Hemsworth on Saturday 5/4 secured the League title for the second season in a row . This is a fantastic achievement and credit must be given to the management team and all players and parents .

Victory at Oakwell on Sunday 20/4 secured the cup for the under 9's bringing to an end a fantastic season . Totally in control from the off Wombwell were cruising at 2 0 up until midway through the 2nd half a clearance from the halfway line somehow got passed the unexpectant Wombwell keeper .Worsborough then continued to press and drew the game level with 5 minutes to go .Full time 2 2 saw the game go to a nerve wracking penalty shoot out which saw Wombwell through winning 5 4 with a fine display of Penalty taking .
